ancient egyptians built puramids for tombs for the dead pharaohs . there were lots of  different kinds of  pyramids one of them was the step  pyramid.  there are about eighty pyramids that were built. the largest pyramid was built in giza. the most famous pyramid is known as the ‘great pyramid’and was built for pharaoh khufu! so there you have it some information all about pyramids!!!
